DFW area, Can you access this site?

Yesterday, my wife starting having problems accessing her webmail from home. It is mail.deltan.com/exchange (64.190.250.111)

This has worked fine for over 2 years. It works fine from my office. And, it works fine if my wife uses our FIOS connection to RDP into one of her clients, and then pulls up that website from her client session. Additionally, she can also not access the terminal server there at 64.190.250.118. Again, these both work fine from other ISPs. And, I should mention I rebooted my router just in case. From what I can tell, all other websites we normally use, email, and ATT CallVantage VOIP are working fine. It's like I no longer can route to these servers from my home's FIOS connection. If anyone else around the DFW area could check connectivity on these I would appreciate it.

I am a FiOS user in Keller, when I just went to the site I get a login request screen from the website, but of course I can't go any further. But I presume that I actually got to the site.

You mentioned you rebooted your router; do you know what your IP address range is? I am currently on the 173.74.x.x range. I know Verizon has been adding new ranges, and perhaps you are on one that the website has blocked, probably because of previously reported "bad" activity. You might try rebooting the router and seeing if you can get onto another IP address range. Just a thought....

Hope this helps.

Thanks, you should get a login screen, so it is working for you. I get a timeout (at least I did last night). I'm at work now and my wife is at a client, so maybe it will work when we get home. Otherwise, time to make a call to tech support and try to figure out what has happened.

I will check my current IP when I get home and see...

What's your public IP address?

Have you tried doing a tracert to the site? If so, what does it show?

I'll check my public IP when I get home. In the meantime, I've asked the IT guy at Deltan.com to open one address in that range to ping, as they are all closed now. That way I can trace it here at work, and then if it still doesn't work at home, hopefully I'll be able to tell where the breakdown is in the route.

Edit: He has opened 64.190.250.114 to ping. I can hit it just fine from work right now.

Can you get a traceroute to site? Curious what it does. Also are you using https? that can change the mtu size on the packets

About a month ago I started having problems accessing a site hosted in Houston. Tracert would get as far as DFW before dieing. I also have FIOS. Crazy thing is that I could use anonymizer sites sites to access from remote locations, like Hong Kong and London. After a week of no access to this site, I rebooted my FIOS router several times until I got a new IP address, then I was able access with no problem.

I found that the IP address I was previously assigned was on some QWEST router blacklists because, at some time in the past, it was held by a spam attack site.

So, what I suggest is trying rebooting your router until you get a new IP. Of course, write down the IP you start with to know it changed. Sometimes, to get a new IP, you need to change something for your DHCP/PPPoE request, such as MAC address of your router (clone) or (in my case) the PPPoE Login name and password.
