Re: Magicjack won't install on 1 of my computers

I would try uninstalling all your usb drivers and fresh install them to see if it helps.

I tried installing all the new chipset and usb drivers. No luck. Any other ideas out there?

I wonder if you found a solution; I have the exact situation here; I have an ASUS P5KPL-CM motherboard. It seems Magicjack doesn't work well with those newer motherboards which during power up can detect plugged in USB devices?

No, I never got it to work on that computer, But it works like a champ on the other computer in my office (MB has a VIA chipset), so I just leave it hooked up to that one.
Does your MB have a nvidia chipset? I suspect the problem is a compatibility issue.

I don't think so, spec says it has an Intel G31 chipset. As I said before, I guess the issue is that unlike older motherboards, this one detects attached USB devices. On my old PC, a USB device such as a wireless keyboard/mouse is not detected till Windows (XP) is up; on that one, Magicjack works like magic! In the BIOS of my new PC, I can see 2 majicjack devices (a HDD & a CDROM). It seems there is no way to configure MB not to detect such devices.

A few questions for you:
1- Does your MB detect the USB devices?
2- Is your PC single or multi user?
