| Different STB's?
I currently have 3 STB's...2 HD DVR's (6416) and one HD STB (6200). Currently It costs me 12.99 each for the DVR's and 5.99 for the HD STB. I'm thinking of going with the Home Media DVR. Question one, is this a different STB or will they just activate one of my 6416's? I guess I'd send back one or both (if the Home media DVR is a different model) of my DVR's and get just another HD STB. I guess my equipment then would be the Home Media DVR and 2 6200's? Cost wise it would work out to the same amount, I'm assuming the Home Media is still 19.99 and the HD STB's would be 5.99 each. I just like the convenience of being able to watch recorded programs on any set. One last question, it is true that I can now watch HD programs via the Home Media DVR? I remember I didn't originally get the home media dvr because it would only send SD programming to the other sets. Thanks for any info or any comments on these STB's! |

Nope - they'll simply push the software update to one of your 6416's - you can probably tell them which one you want based on the serial #..
And yes - you can now watch HD programs via the Multi-room feature.
(I'd agree with your idea to send 1 of the DVR's back...since currently you can't stream between DVR's) -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |
