HaroldM posted : Speed tests for me consistently pull over 1500 actually. Never had any issues whatsoever. Sure faster speed would be nice but not something I NEED really. And just so ya know they offer a 15mb package. Frew people I know have it and get damn near the full 15mb everytime we run tests.
--
\m/(-_-)\m/

HEM Designs :: DODIA

anon posted : After going to Texas to visit my brother and using my laptop on his verizon cable internet at 11MBS. I now realize that Iowa Telecom simply doesn't have the muscle or system to push out past 900 Kbs...Those of you who THINK you are getting 1.5 are being misled. I dare you to go to SPeedtest.net and check out how fast your connection really is. I have 1.5 service but can only pull down 883. Medicom's actually pulled down 90000 kps with their 8.0 service. With the coming work of streaming video and the death of the local video store Iowa telecom will be way way behind the curve..(if they are still around). I am switching. My next door neighbor has mediacom and has NEVER had problems with service outage. DSL is going to die a slow death. When Alliant starts putting data over power lines iowa telecom with have nothing to offer.
