thank you for that report. i phoned the bank when i saw it and they said to contact vontage. so i did and was told there is no record of my account and that they would call back in 2 hours. they never did. i sent them an email and same thing about no record of me was their reply and sent them a copy of the statement along with it but the ref of the debit was with their phone number for proof it was from them. i have contacted them 3 times by email and once per phone and no reply in two days. the debits were on the 23rd march and my bank says i have to pay for the stop payment because i asked for it but have to contact vontage and i don't think i will get anywhere but it's under dispute. i hope it's not common but even if it was a mistake the least they could do is reply and was just warning people. |
