Re: [Wireless] Tomato firmware on buffalo - wireless issue

I've heard of that , but I'm not sure what that is. Are you asking if I did that prior to installing the new Buffalo Firmware? I recall seeing that as an issue when going back to Buffalo. At first I couldn't get in, but I hit the reset button for 20 seconds and then I could get in.
Returns you to default settings, but does not clear nvram.

After update to Tomato. You should dump nvram, restart and then setup to run they way you want. There are setting for the external buttons that might not have been assigned properly.

This is just an update for anyone reading my original post. I never solved my issue with my wireless using the Tomato firmware. I flashed back to Tomato 1.21 and with no changes, the Diag red light was flashing and the wireless might stay on for 2 minutes or 4 hours. The entire time wireless was on, the red light was flashing. prior to Tomato, I tried DD-WRT. That worked except for XBOX live. I was able to port forward one XBOX successfully for about 6 months, but my other son just got an XBOX 360 and I couldn't Port forward that one without a strict NAT warning on XBOX live which restricts online gaming. That's why I tried Tomato. XBOX live worked perfectly with Tomat, but my wireless didn't.
The funny thing is, this morning I flashed back to Buffalo stock firmware (1.4) and now EVERYTHING works perfectly. Great speed and good wireless coverage, I'm quite pleased and now sticking with BUFFALO firmware!

I just flashed from DD-WRT to tomato 1.24 on my Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. everything works perfect except, when I turn on wireless, the red led on the router flashes red. Wireless works, but after a minute or two, something turns off wireless automatically and the red light stops flashing. I can then go back into the router and turn on wireless again - same thing happens - red led flashes for a minute or so and then the router turns off the wireless, and the red light stops flashing. Any ideas? I must be missing a setting. I have WEP enabled with one key. I broadcast NETGEAR as my SSID.
