I agree with your there ninja, the speeds most people have are decent, and there speed will increase as the market demands it. Because of people, greed all around, we are suffering a slowing economy. Less can sometimes be more, summer is around the corner.

I've been demanding faster speeds and an actual "always on" connection and practically my entire area has been demanding any form of broadband for about 5 1/2 years now.... but we don't see it? A lot of other places are like this too...

But this article talks about speeds not availability. I live in a semi suburban area and it was till 4 years ago we had some form of broadband. But availability i can understand people complaining, but the constant drumbeat about speeds is tiresome.
