I truly cant think of a more pointless discussion, although I am sure there are other 'noteworth' picks.
Coming in a a close 2nd place, is the "Why does Japan have faster broadband than the US" garbage discussion. -- When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat. -Ronald Reagan-

Right, except for the fact that this type of thing isnt actually news. It provides absolutely nothing in the way of value to anyone, and only ends up starting the same old "the US sucks and thats why we have slow broadband" nonsense comments. Its really nothing more than a rallying cry for the ("wanna be") psuedo-socialists to regroup and rant about the civilized world. -- When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat. -Ronald Reagan-

It has nothing to do with agreeing with me or not. Go back and check any thread that has to do with this kind of topic. It starts off with a few normal comments, and then is taken over by people who (out of nowhere) start ranting about how the US sucks, blah blah blah. Everyone is entitled to whatever opinion they want (obviously), however these 'news items' seem to bring out the worst scum of DSLR. -- When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat. -Ronald Reagan-

 | reply to wifi4milez These types of stories generate lots of posts. Lots of posts drive up traffic counts. Higher traffic counts generate more ad revenue. |

Why does it bother you when we compare broadband in the US to broadband in other countries? How else can things be judged but by comparison? |

I paint the "the US sucks and thats why we have slower broadband" crowd as the worst scum on DSLR, NOT simply people who disagree with me. There is a huge difference between the two.
