Vista vrs XP. Unusual hamachi problem.

Hello, let me introduce my problem.

I've been researching connection problems via hamachi for hours and this is some what a last resort.

Me and my friend have been trying to connect to each other via hamachi. He can connect to me but I can't connect to him, which makes me believe that his computer is shuting me down every time I try.

He can ping my computer without any problems but I can't ping him. The weird thing is that Hamachi tells me that everything is "ok". His name is green and his status is "ready".

I've tried to connect via proxy and specific udp and tcp ports both on my and his computer. (He could always access me). And we have moved the hamachi connect to top priority still no result.

Please give me something to try.

Re: Vista vrs XP. Unusual hamachi problem.

First thing to check and make sure Hamachi is allowed through the Windows firewall under the exceptions tab.
Next check and see if the UAC in Vista is causing a problem.

Re: Vista vrs XP. Unusual hamachi problem.

I wouldn't reccommend turning UAC off!! That one has a purpose. Hamachi just doesn't work properly on vista because the latest version have a problem with UDP broadcast!
I suggest you try Tunngle that works on Vista and works with games. More info @ »kissmyrank.2kool4u.net/station/i···?topic=4
