I'm not talking about Verizon running fiber to their own towers. I'm talking about them having carriers as customers for point to point circuits so other carriers can do the same. Oh and Verizon will definitely sell you a 50/20 link...you just have to pay for it

The fiber was already in place to towers. The fiber was only in places where they had the fiber to start off with. Like if the Tower is in an ATT service area VZ is not going to run you a fiber line there- especially FiOS.

VZ is running carrier grade services to towers where people can afford them. You should go look at their Carrier Page along with ATT's. The service has been sold for years how do you think calls get routed off the towers where there is no backhual and no t1's.

Comcast and TWC does the same thing.
