The Patriot posted : You should have every right to post here with such an issue, but as we know cablevision likes to hush anything negative about the company, regardless what the issue is. Some would like these posts quarantined to a particular section on the boards where it will get lost in a section that is viewed as typical complainers. They have people putting out the flames on many boards. I know personally how this company dislikes anything that is brought up that is negative towards it. They are experts at hushing people up. Now if one has had several truck rolls to their location with no resolve, and placed several calls to incompetant robots that are only concerned with meeting metrics to please their masters, promised a callback from a supervisor that never comes, given some BS line that they are aware of the issue and it will get fixed some day in the near future, what other action is one left with besides posting on a board they know the company closely monitors?

We all know that certain people do finally get someone to listen here and finally resolve some ongoing issue that several field techs or engineers could not or did not consider priority, so it makes plenty of sense to post as a last resort of frustration.

mm posted : There are some people who just don't have the empathy to feel for someones problem. These speed posts are legit posts and should be here. If you don't have the problem then leave the thread - it's that simple. It's no fun having 1 meg speeds in the evening hours for months. Calling CableVision does not help either! They just schedule pointless service calls and nothing is fixed.

Cablevision is jerking their customers around because the majority of customers are not technical and have no clue how slow their service is. I recently 'educated' a few of my neighbors and they all switched to FIOS because they all had slow speeds in the evening and did not know how to measure the speed.

So give these poor souls a break, their speeds suck and some have no choice because there are no alternatives.
