Any new Xohm users in the un-launched Chicago market?
I have a home modem, but haven't tried to connect in awhile. Last go around I had constant disconnects. I wonder if the market is any closer to prime time yet.

Park Ridge, IL | I'm in Park Ridge, kinda far from the heart of Chicago, and I get 1-2 bars of signal with my USB modem, and no disconnects.. the speeds just aren't that great. |

I use my express card in Burr Ridge and it's been great. At home in Bolingbrook, initially I had no service and then it activated or whatever and it's been great until 2 weeks ago when it went down and I couldn't even find the network. Now it finds it, but will not connect.
I called Xohm support and they're some cool people, but they have no info on Chicago so they couldn't tell me anything that was going on and why.
My 6 months is up this month, so I think I am going to cancel the service. It's handy to have, however I'll wait to see what happens now Clearwire is behind the wheel. |

Your constant disconnect problem will most likely be resolved with the latest firmware that is now available on the Xohm.com support download page. I know it's been a struggle to get the latest firmware applied manually for most people, but you may be able to contact tech support and have them push it down to your modem for you.
It made a world of difference for me and I use my modem in Schaumburg and Aurora from time to time. No more disconnects and I'm very satisfied with the service. |

Is anyone here in Chicago a Sprint Nextel voice subscriber as well?
Can you login to My Sprint from your Xohm card? Does it just timeout for you?
Even if you're in a launched market, I am curious to know if you can login to My Sprint from the Xohm network or if it's something exclusive to Chicago. |

Xohm signal is STILL ON..... but can't get connected.
The connection is always failed/dropped.
Seemed that Clear/Xohm is deactivating service outside the officially launch cities.
I called Xohm customer service, there's no explaination beside they can't support us who are outside Baltimore. |

| Same here in Philadelphia.
It was live and operational then gone............
The Xohm signal is still there, but won't let us to get connected at all............
As soon as we got connected then we will be dropped again.
Maybe it's the anticipation of Xohm and Clear system merger. |
