Application Example

I am using AT&T as the 3G provider mostly because the company already had an AT&T account.

Anyway, I have a remote site with 1-3 users and one SIP Phone. The site cannot be serviced by cable or DSL so 3G was the only way to go. So through consultation with AT&T our company purchase a 3G card and a 3G wireless Linksys router. It seems to work fine. I have the one permanent user using a VPN tunnel and remoting into our site and of course the phone uses about 80K of the bandwidth. Everything is fine and we are still plenty under the 5G monthly maximum.

It depends on what you use it for. Obviously this is not for watching streaming video or downloading massive files all the time. Just casual surfing and checking e-mail.
