Can I find the Malicious Software Removal Tool on microsofts site?
You might already have it if you use Windows/Automatic Update. Run mrt.exe. I just learned this morning. Sweet. Now, I have a custom Start Menu shortcut for it. I can run custom/full scans. I see it in my old updated XP Pro. SP2 machine.

Cool! Thanks for the heads up. I do be clear of all little beasties, but this is an easy way to double or triple check things.

No kidding. I was like "What? We had this the whole time? No one knew? Not even security people in here?" I think I saw it in a BetaNews comment. Weird, eh? We learn something new, everyday!

I assume MRT only gets updated once a month with updated definitions.
