I keep my DSL modem and wireless router behind a UPS and it rand for hours during our last power outage. Might not be a bad idea, depending on how often your power goes out. I bought all of it when I was using VoIP to keep my voice communications up during outages. I'm back on POTS now, but I still have the equipment. Good idea.
