Re: 3G access still too slow to support multiple users Believe it or not, I've broken 2 Mbps down while tethering with my BlackBerry on Alltel. Granted it was a one time occasion, but I usually average just under 1 Mbps around Tampa Bay. But down at Grandma's (a large retirement area in South FL) I always get at least 1.5 Mbps down.
The problem is the crappy 100-130 Kbps upload and the high ping times of at least 100 ms. Still, at least on Alltel, I think their EVDO could easily support 2-4 users with a fairly decent connection.
