I am curious if they plan to bring it a few hours east to the FL GulfCoast branch anytime soon? would be nice to see even a small speed increase for the preferred and premier users. |

1 edit | reply to robl27 said by robl27 :i wonder if network neuturality would stop this nonsense? -Rob you are letting your glaring lack of knowledge about network neutrality show...
network neutrality is in regards to carriers slowing down access to independent websites because they can't fork over the cash that a mainstream site would be able to hand over. it has also been used to describe "protocol agnosticism", wherein an isp doesn't care what type of packets are coming across the wire if network management has to be put in place.
"network neutrality" doesn't mean that all areas have the same "last mile" speed to the internet.

| reply to dvd536 Honestly dvd536 I don't care what area is a have or have not.
Everyone knows the PHOENIX market is what generates the revenue for the other systems to have all the fancy technology and we get squat.

Nice other markets can get over 100Mbps and AZ gets 30.
Cox sucks... is that area even Docsis 3.0 yet? The other area gets 100 because they are in a HAVE area. AZ only gets 28 because they are in a HAVENOT area. -- When I gez aju zavateh na nalechoo more new yonooz tonigh molinigh - Ken Lee |

| reply to nongobi Nice speeds, but thats only with powerboost and it only shows for short periods of time. I wish i could get my upload speeds around 3mb. But even before they did my split i was only seeing like 2.5mb up. now with the split. i see max around 1.92mb up, which you would think would be odd with faster down speeds, and on a new and clean node. Maybe they arent supplying enough upload bandwidth to my node atm.
Plus i always notice my upsteam power levels are always high 40's. |

| reply to dvd536 One problem I would have paying this kind of money for 100 Mbps download- at this point in time, many sites cannot send data to me at anything even close to that rate, so I wouldn't always get the benefit of the connection. In the future, once sites upgrade their servers, then these speeds will be more usable. |
