Louisiana market has a introductory price of only 89.99.
Some things to note are:
You get 3 ip addresses
At this time their are *NO* transfer caps on this level of service.
For those curious about what type of modem you get it's a Cisco DPC3000.
These modems are not yet widely available in retail outlets; however, Cox is selling them in our retail locations for $99.99.
Yes powerboost is available on this tier of service.

Standard pricing for Cox Ultimate Internet is $139.99/month, but as with all our packages, pricing is set locally, so customers in Lafayette Parish can get lower introductory prices ($89.99/month) when they call to sign up for the service. |

i have a question does 3 ip addresses mean i can have 3 individual lines connected to modems in my house for a max potential of 50mb each? |

The speed cap is per modem. You get 3 IP's which can download 50Mb/sec. total between them. |

also my other question is do i need to have cable tv and or phone service to get the $90 price? because i really dont watch tv much at all and have no need for a landline phone when i have a cell anyways. |

You have 3 IP's on one modem, so you could have a IP for your XBox, another for PS3, and one for your computer... so that if you game a lot, you can just tell someone which IP to connect to.
I personally find having 3 IP's is a bit too much. Port 80, 25, etc are going to be blocked anyway, why would a regular home user need 3 IP's when some ports are blocked? :-( |

The cap is 50Mb/sec. per modem regardless of whether or not you use all the IP addresses. I'm not aware of that price being any kind of a bundle discount so the price is what it is. |

| Cool cause i was just wondering for when ever it comes to my area, since we have like 4 people in the house, that we can have 3 set ups and not slow someone else down for any reason. so if thats the case $90 isnt bad a month. just wish they could get the upload up to 50mb or atleast something decent like 20 or 30 |

Just to clarify some of the questions that have come up. $89.99/mo. is the service cost per modem. You get 3 IP addresses but all 3 IP addresses are tied to the same modem. Bandwidth is provied at 50Mb downstream and 5Mb upstream and the IP address count has no impact the QoS. |
