 | Too little, too late for Cox I have to give Cox some credit - with prices like LUS has, I thought they'd pack their bags and leave town. You see guys, Louisiana has a law stating that if you lower your prices in one part of the state, you have to do it for every town in the state. Thus Cox can't keep the prices artificially low in Lafayette - it can't afford to give every customer in the state the same deal. Starting a new tier available only in 1 town is their loophole, but even this is too little too late.
Let's compare: $57.95/month for LUS vs. $99.95 for Cox (+installation fee, but minus 45 Mbps on the upload). It's clear who gives the customers a better deal. The key for LUS now is to not allow Cox to gain customers through deceptive advertising. LUS needs to respond with ads of its own, clearly showing that Cox is a much worse deal, both price-wise and speed-wise. |
