@sbcglobal.net | reply to theclaw I guess that the WOW cable with the SPEED HD Channel in it stops at the Michigan/Indiana border. |

| reply to theclaw Yeah, I dont understand why WOW just adds certain channel in some markets but not in all. You would think they would all have the same channels. Wow still isnt even close to HD offerings from other providers but my only other option is UVerse and from what I have gathered its much worse. |

Also, Versus (in HD, or at least SD) would be nice now that the IRL races are on it. |

| reply to theclaw I asked the very question about why some areas get some channels and others don't and, can't I believe their answer.
Thank you for contacting WOW! via email. There are literally hundreds of channels we do not carry. There is no specific reason why we do not carry them. If we had more request for Speed HD, we would consider adding it.
Respectfully,

@sbcglobal.net | reply to nulery What about Michigan, Motor City, 2 NASCAR races that draw 160,000 fans that has 30,000 at the SPEED broadcast from the track and we can't even get it on HD here. |

| reply to theclaw I went from standard digital to a HD Receiver / DVR a couple of months ago and really love it. However, I wish WOW would get up to speed as far as their HD lineup. I noticed that AT&T Uverse has 100+ HD channels now. I'm not 100% how many HD channels WOW has right now but it appears to be UNDER 50! Yikes.
I'm not complaining because I am getting HSI (5400 down and 1000 up), Phone and HD TV/DVR for a A LOT less than I'd expect for 18 months!!! I tried Uverse at the beginning and the picture looked great and the features look great on paper and loved being able to program my DVR via their homepage. However, it went down once a week for HOURS. The best part of Uverse was the free installation and the fact they rewired my whole house with Cat5e.

@rochester.edu | reply to theclaw I emailed somebody higher up at WOW! and said the reason why Cleveland isn't getting all the HD channels is because they are making some kind of adjustments right now but we will get them later this year. |

| reply to theclaw So let's see if I have this right.
The WOW spokesperson sez that you have to request a channel in order to reveive it but there's is no specific reason why we add a channel. Evansville, Indiana gets Speed HD channel because more of the people there wanted Speed HD than the people in Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit. Evansville? How many people are there in Evansville. I just don't get it. |

| reply to usaral It is like Big Ten HD Ohio networks have it but MI Does not. Looks like got a deal with NBC/Universal with the channels they launched (no Weather Channel HD though)
Hopefully they get a deal with Viacom (Comedy Central, Spike)the some more Turner Networks (TBS, and CNN) |
