Did anyone not get the new HD channels? I'm in MI, and the only change I've noticed is sci-fi changed to syfy. I didn't get any new channels
EDIT: d'oh, just realized that 7/15 is the date of new channels, and 7/7 was the date of the name change. my bad |

Cleveland will probably just catch up with the other cities that got those channels last month because we did not get them then. We will probably get Speed HD and TBS HD, etc soon (maybe in August or September) - Cleveland I think is just behind a bit because of the older system that WOW! has in Cleveland. |

why does comcast have many channels in digital starer / basic there. That in comcast Chicago area are in the higher cost digital classic and / or sports pack.
Wow in Chicago area also has many of them in analog cable and not in higher cost digital tears. So if they where to get there HD count up and pick up VS / VS HD and the CSN HD + over flow feed.
Then they can compete in the market like they did and where a good buy vs comcarp that was moving good stuff like sci-fi and others to there high cost digital tear over the last 4 years. Also in the city of Chicago you get more HD and less in analog but if you live in Chicago land pay the same get less with comcarp cable.
Now will nice if WOW where to do a big analog crush and keep the channels in clear qam / a basic level. With limited OTA only + 3-4 others in a limited basic / lifeline level / analog.
Right now they are dead last in HD in Chicago area.
at least they can do true free HD aka first HD box free not like the comcast and rcn that say free HD but make you pay $6 - $8+ /m for the box vs $3 - $5 for a SD one. |

It is like Big Ten HD Ohio networks have it but MI Does not. Looks like got a deal with NBC/Universal with the channels they launched (no Weather Channel HD though)
Hopefully they get a deal with Viacom (Comedy Central, Spike)the some more Turner Networks (TBS, and CNN) |
