While we have no poll category for web downloading programs like WebReaper , I decided not to include them in the poll, but feel free to mention one if you also use it for downloading. Technically they would be more of a spider/crawler but some download managers have that feature (like Conceiva which I use).
Also not including questionable or illegal ones (StreamboxVCR illegal in USA but ancient now).

And here is last year's poll in case you want to see what was said or copy something over to this years DM Poll 2008

Flashget or browser downloaders. Flashget rocks the large downloads a lot of the time. ^_^

Great poll Rxdoxx! Thank you!
I've played around with many in the past, but as of now (and as my friend dadkins mentioned), "I use FlashGet... or just let the browser(s) do it".

As long as my particular download is successful, I don't care much these day how long it takes, nor do I care about any fancy additional features.

And speaking of "letting the browser do it", I also voted "Opera's Built In Transfer Manager".

I may be hallucinating (believe me, it's quite possible), but I'm always amazed at how fast I can download a file with Opera.

Nice poll!

I voted for the Firefox add-on DownThemAll, and the "other" is DownloadHelper, also a Firefox add-on.
