I have the Nero 'suite' .. but, I've never had need, nor desire, to edit a sound file .. yet.

Nice poll.
Voted Audacity and "other." Other is an old freeware version of "gram" which I still use to make sonograms (frequency vs. time). No longer supported, two freeware versions can be downloaded at:
