7M/120gig: It's called the business starter package...but is a little bit more expensive and you cannot bundle it.
If you're a really nice person with a great attitude and you have a friendly CSR, it's possible. Difficult, but possible.

Cogeco really needs to do something for the home users they've pushed to the business package, to allow them to bundle their services. Why they would *punish* their users who are trying to buy a better service from them is beyond me.

Package: Resi HSI Standard
Percent: 13.02%
Notifications/Warnings: N/A
Suspensions: 0
Accuracy of meter: Looks good to me

My Feb and Mar totals were about 40gig each though, that's my typical usage so it sort of precludes me from dropping down to Lite Plus.

Cogeco's packages and pricing kinda suck.

I'm approaching quadruple digit percentages this month...I'll make a nice little report at end of month. I've been too busy to download more lately.

Just a bit confused... I did not get the 100% notification for April at all. Here in May, I just gave up and didn't do much downloading right now... maybe the last few days I will...

Can a Cogeco rep see why I received my 85% warning and no others after that, even though my final usage was 64.33 GB? I was past 100% on the 14th of the month.

Well my account has completely disappeared again and it won't let me register my account number. How the heck I am supposed to monitor traffic if I can't see my account info

Package: I don't think it really matters.
Percent: > 1000%. I'm probably spending $5/day in storage alone just to download that much. Scary and I'm going broke.
Suspensions/Down-time: 0
Accuracy of meter: Accurate within +/- 5% so far for this month.

Has anyone actually gotten suspended lately? I think we're back to unlimited usage.....for the month of May anyway. If this keeps up, I'll be one happy camper.

This is probably going to be my last post in this thread as it should be enough info for many of you. Too bad there wasn't anybody else going "where no man has gone before"...

I got maybe 2 TB left to go (not porn haha) until I really run out....but wow, we need a new thread for record-breaking usage. I think I'll start one at the end of the month

I also received two warnings for 85%, the second one was a week or so after getting one for 100%.

Because they know they can do that - sucker people into paying more, for less really :P

443% Standard Package

I will push the limits next month and see if and when I get suspended.

I will most likely be switching to the business package after june

aren't you allowed to use what you want but are charged 1.50 per gig over your limit??
That is my understanding.

Their suspension policy is confidential right now, so nobody knows. But as you've seen, many people have gone over the limit this month by a significant degree without suspension.

For the first time in years I will be over my Pro cap this month. Figure what the heck, might as well go out with a bang.

Haven't decided what to do next month. Typically I don't exceed 100gigs, and with the new penalties I most certainly will not.

Be very interested to see what standard users can get away with come June. I suspect you will find a hard cap on or about 75 gigs.

If not, as I have said before, the Pro tier becomes punitive and irrelevant.

Unlike last month, no notice at 85%. Assuming that the update is done at midnight, shouldn't notices go out at the same time?

Well, after a four-day binge where I essentially doubled my cap, I ended the month with:

Download: 119.46 GB
Upload: 3.12 GB
Total: 122.58 GB
Percent: 204%.

I was a little cautious after hitting the cap, but then I found a couple of posts in other threads where people on Standard were >300%. Had I known that earlier I would have maxed out over a greater period. However, I was able to go through trial periods for 2 premium news servers (10Gb and 20GB) in three days, so that was enjoyable.

Now I guess it's back to careful and vigilant management of bandwidth use. Thanks, Cogeco, for making my internet use "easier". (Although, to be fair, at least they haven't shut down my email account and deleted all my messages and contacts, without warning, after 10 years of service, unless I pay them $19.99US, like a certain free email provider did yesterday).

Yup. I'm in the cautious usage mode now too. As soon as i find a new isp i've gotta stick with cogeco. That's fine though. I'm actually going to try and make things hard for them by downloading as much copyrighted material as possible. Love getting those copyright infringement notices from them.

for the record my stats last month were:

down: 113gb
up: 9gb
total: 122gb

man i hate cogeco with a passion right now.
anything else we can do to make life harder for them?
