Re: Bandwidth usage: share your experience under new rules.

Yes, there was a rollback to ensure people could check their bandwidth and the web site in its own, they'll try again another day (night)...

Hmm lets see Business Starter 100% = 120Gb so if my math is right 835% = 1002Gb's or just over a Terabytes worth of data.

It's hard to believe that you haven't made someones list with an amount that is that high, so I would guess you are right and the "Business Counter" if there is one must be broken.

Any Comment here Cogeco????????????
When the new cogeco website is implemented again, you should compare the differences in the new wording for residential vs business internet. There seems to be quite a difference and there's also an emphasis for non-interruption of service for business internet.

Why don't you switch to business starter and try 1 TB next month? I need someone else to verify.
It's not too hard....only 35 GB / day.

Cogeco bills $1 per gig over their 60 gig cap! The 60 gig cap sucks but the speed is way better than Bell! Bell's cap at 80 gigs is better! Same thing! Bell charges $1 per gig over cap.

So it's simple! Speed or cap!

Date: April 2009
Package: Business Starter
Percent: > 940%.
Notifications/Warnings: Got the 85% and 100% in quick succession but they came in late.
Suspensions: 0
Accuracy of meter: Meter's definitely broken in some way but still accurate within +/- 10% overall.

Well for the month of April I ended up using 107Mb's which I would bet seems pretty tame compared to some, but I was afraid that I would be cut off, and my internet connection is very important to me.

I wish I had someone that I could fall back on, but DSL in my neighborhood is just horrible and isn't a viable alternative at this time.

Oh come June when they do start the UBB, I am going to switch to the Business Starter account as it would seem to be the best bang for the buck account that Cogeco is going to provide.

I had to call in to get reconnected, lame - it didn't reconnect me automatically. I also got a big lecture from billing that 200GB is a serious thing, not only will I be charged for it the lady said, but I will get disconnected if my bandwidth usage looks like that again. If I didn't just wake up, I probably would have insulted her and hung up - people telling me what I can and can't do with my paid service. Where do these people get off?

you got lectured? You're an evil, evil downloading man!

still the first month with this new way, maybe they will have the unsuspend automated for next month (was it automated previously? I've never reached the end-of-month).

good thing i didn't have to call, I think I would have gotten it ten times worse as an employee!! I started getting nervous and stopped at 133.47 lol

Yeah, any suspensions used to be automatically (automated) forgiven at the beginning of the month.

Is anybody on a business package intending to do 300% or more this month? I'm getting tired of downloading frankly lol...

Maybe I'd upgrade to commercial if you wanna send some of those jumbo HDD this way.... j/k

On my little downloading binge (just to test the meter, of course) I got enough stuff to keep me content for a few months. I don't think I'll be topping 100G in May really. Plus the weather is nicer so maybe I'll go outside, with lots of sunscreen... (this is not me) »content.revolutionhealth.com/con···28775917

Notifications/Warnings: Got the 85% and 100% warning within a few hours of passing each.

Accuracy of meter: Accurate within +/- 5% so far for this month. I've been noticing some UI improvements with regards to the bandwidth page too.

Wow the bandwidth monitor is down again! This time it was for the whole day! Way to go Cogeco, making it really damn hard to monitor our usage!

Yea, seriously. With all the extra UBB money they're banking you'd think they could pay someone $1,000 to delete:

Really it's been there and broken a month now... why!?

Just got my bill in the mail.

So far, nothing is showing the additional bandwidth charges, or it being taken off. Looks no different than my last few bills. Nothing to show that I went over 60GB.

On a side note, I still never got my 100% notification via email.

I also received my bill and I also noted that there was nothing to do with the UBB billing.
