Thanks, Cogeco, for making my internet use "easier". I usually average 35-40 a month and that is with online gaming, some bittorrent d/ls and as a beta tester downloading builds at various times. Maybe since I came from a miserable situation with Bell, Cogeco suits me well since the service is rock solid stable and fast all of the time. Still it would seem that 100-120 or so would be more realistic. With 4 computers sharing the same connection going through the cap is pretty easy. Without any torrents or excessive downloading doing 60GB is really easy. Facebook, youtube and other sites are pretty bandwidth intensive. Now if I wanted to get a new game off of steam or something like that I'd be stuck with extra charges as well. Games are no longer less than a GB some of them could be 10+GB of downloading since a lot of them are now online distribution mainly. I wouldn't be worried if it was say 300GB cap like some of the american ISP's have. It's not though so all it takes is one day of getting a game or heck even a movie online and the end of the month there will be an overage bill.

The $30 we're going to be paying will make Cogeco a lot of money. While we pay $1.50-2.00 per GB, Cogeco is making at least 500% profit off of that alone - I'm thinking the new hardcap will be around 350GB in areas with low congestion, probably a lot lower in high density areas.
