1 edit | reply to insomniac This was the team I thought we would see all year... Man, was I wrong...
Didn't anyone notice a limp on Sori HR trot because he also didn't come back on the field after the game... I pretty sure they wanted to interview him for player of the game... But he was nowhere to be seen... |

The Cards have played four more games than we have, but even if you account for that, being 10 games back at the end of August is a poor situation to be in. Stick a fork in it - this season's done. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |

Lee and Ramirez were the only ones who showed up this season ready to play. So sad... |

Not sure but Dye in right might work for the Cubs. He hits well in Wrigley. -- In need of a Vegas vacation.

| reply to sleuth It's damn sad watching this team play when they "at least" have a shot at the wild card. I realize it's a long shot, but at least it's a shot. -- Anticipate Nothing...Expect Everything |

| reply to cubs4eva When the pressure is gone and are nowhere near the Wildcard or division do they at least start to win. I'm curious as to what Rickets motivation will be this winter. Will he open up his wallet and try to buy a championship or try to make a profit for the first couple of years? Ted Lilly and Randy Wells are good to build around. I hope Dempster and Zambrano are just off this year due to injuries..... or whatever you want to call what happened to Zambrano this year |

At least they never really got our hopes up this year. |

They were in 1st place, I think, Aug. 6 and AR had just come back or would be soon... Then St. Louis got an ex cub, can't remember his name and some guy named something like Holiday... Is he any good...?... And then their 1st baseman got even hotter, while pitching which was suppose to be bad was the best in the division ... Since starting out 14 and 5 in Aug. we went down, down hill fast as the birds flew like eagles...and we played literally like baby cubs... Maybe next century...!!!... |
