said by CUBS_FAN :said by VegasMan :This way we could get Hoffpauir in the lineup we would have a decent lefty out of the pen and a true #1 starter. Spoke too soon, Hoffpauir made a big error in right field and Piniella said he would " rather have a stronger defense in the field than a strong offense". So he's going with " Fukudome in right and Reed Johnson in center" No room for the "Hoff" He's a first baseman not an outfielder. -- In need of a Vegas vacation.

The announcers also criticized his decision to call a slider on a 2 balls 1 strike count that missed. Shortly after he walked the bases loaded for Pujols to pretty much kill the ball. |

He, Lou is missing his best three hitters...What is he suppose to do...?...And Kosuke OBP is about .500...with everyone out why not third...?... I don't have the answers just that lt's a young season and if this happened 2 or 3 months from now it wouldn't be as noticeable... Hopefully we'll come together... This game this afternoon would be a nice win...
* If you're talking about Monday night Haren has been one of the best pitchers in the league ... ERA about 1.50 in 5 games... |

cubs4eva Premium join:2004-04-29 Aurora, IL | Kosuke is the last guy I would be critical of in the Cubs lineup right now. The one who is really dogging it right now IMO is Soto. I'd rather have Hill in there than him at the moment. |

| I haven't exactly been happy with Bradley, either. Injury-prone and cranky - gee, we're really getting our $30 million worth.
He did pretty well last night, so I hope he's turned a corner. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |

cubs4eva Premium join:2004-04-29 Aurora, IL | Yeah, I agree about Bradley too. I was reading something where they said his contract wasn't guaranteed and the Cubs could basically dump him and not be on the hook for the last 2 years of his contract. |

I'm trying real hard to jump on the Fukudome bandwagon but I'm still waiting to see what he'll do around the All-Star break. I'm hoping there won't be a relapse and he can be steady all year long. |
