[360] and Vista DVD-Rom question

I have a simple (I hope) question.

I have some DVD movies that are other then US region and would like to play them using Xbox360.

Is there any way to pop a movie on my computer DVD-Rom, and access it from xbox for playback or would I need to convert all moves to some format for playback. Basically all I want to know if there is a way to share computer DVD-Rom for xbox usage, just like we can share folders?

thanks
