My mom had a meeting with the association. AT&T came and bundled us with services. They said they will be implementing u-verse in 6 months. |

| reply to brianiscool Remember that Homestead is a big place due to their stupid Annexing of anything they want to over tax to make up for the money they have lost since Hurricane Andrew.
Anyway, I happen to live just west of Homestead and my line is solid coppper straight to the Homestead CO. That is over 14,000 feet. I barely get what I get. So, the chance of Homestead as a whole of getting U-verse is slim to none.
As you have noticed I am bummed by the AT&T/Bellsouth merger. If the merger had not happened, I would have been upgraded already.
So since you are talking about Association, then it must be the east side of Homestead in an area where there are practically more empty homes than actual people living there. |

If the merger had not happened, I would have been upgraded already. I have the same problems here in Charleston SC. I dont live as far away as you do from the CO, but Bellsouth had planned on upgrading the area to FTTC (Curb not Cabinet) before AT&T took over.
What I really wish AT&T would do is deploy ADSL2+ in areas that won't see Uverse in the near future or at all. I don't know how practical it is, but it would at least offer AT&T more speed to compete with the cablecos and DOCSIS 3. Most of the areas around here are already on a ADSL2+ line anyways. |
