Cable modem plugged on a UPS

Is it much better to plug your cable modem to a UPS. In case there's power interruption the UPS has backup power and it won't shut down early?

My cable modem, router, voip adapter and wireless phone are plugged into a UPS. When the power goes out, the network and phones are still operational.

You can't go wrong w/ an UPS.

It also protects your hardware from electrical transients as well.
