Re: List of Gateways for top ISP? The gateways in both of my lines tend to vary. For example, on one line, the gateway is dependent on what edge router I'm on as well as what CO I'm coming out of, but on another line, I could be on a variety of gateways that are in my area based on my IP or however the ISP wants to route me. It all depends on how the ISP has things set up. Also, on one ISP, the gateway is only accessible on the network side as the IP address is non-routable (like a LAN address on the internet, that would in no way be routable such as a 192.168.*.* address!), but on the other ISP I use, my Gateway is in fact a routable Internet IP address that I can hit from the outside rather than only inside of my network. |
