Since I have noticed some things changed on my modem.... I have been testing my speeds and I like what I am getting.....

| And what is wrong with powerboost Rob? Would you like Cox to take away your powerboost?
I love powerboost, I think it's great. Pulling 30 Mbit's for the first 20 MB's of file downloaded, and getting that same boost when uploading a 10 MB file is great. Every webpages loads as fast as possible, as do e-mails, etc. I also spent a lot of time on NewsGroups, and having Powerboost really helps because most of the files are broken up into 20 MB parts anyway. |

@cox.net | To Cox Usenet or 3rd party? Using which client, some provide inaccurate speed ratings. |

To Cox Usenet or 3rd party? Using which client, some provide inaccurate speed ratings. I've used NewsHosting.com which tends to get me the best speeds. I've used other 3rd party sites, but didn't get as fast speeds. I use NewsBin Pro and depending if I am using NewsHosting or some other company, I have between 8 and 20 connections open. |

CoxTech1 VIP join:2002-04-25 Chesapeake, VA | reply to DrThodt_ Connections to the Cox newsgroups servers are limited to 4 x 512kbps. Your modem is easily capable of reaching those speeds without PowerBoost and therefore you will not see PowerBoost in that situation. |
