Rental costs for modem + eMTA

If comcast rolls out a SB6120 and an Aris eMTA to you (around here they are doing that) do they charge $3 for both of them or a rental fee for each? ($6?)

Some say that, but I have a dual modem setup. (5100 + Arris 502G for CDV) and I'm only charged 3 a month.

Systems vary for what they charge for having both services on separate devices. If you purchase your own SB6120 then you should only pay for eMTA rental. The only issue with that is you have to split your RF for both instead of using one device. I know Arris makes a DOCSIS 3 compliant eMTA. Think it's their 702 model, don't know if your system is or will be using them. Ask if they are going to use or have a DOCSIS 3 eMTA.

Nope 1 rental fee... they put a rate on your account that waives the $3 for the emta and you pay $3 for the modem
