I could see myself going for some Cars maybe, but I'm always wising I could get lossless versions instead of MP3. Just the nerd in me. But most stuff I'm interested in usually ends up being jazz or classical and some kind of out of print or imported recording, and those are mo' $$$ than just five or ten bucks. |

On Amazon, you can almost always find used CD's from reputable vendors with thousands of positive ratings that sell for less than $5 with $3 shipping. I do this all of the time with hard to find music. Then you can easily rip the CD into any lossless format that you like and toss the CD in the trash.
Most of the Cars music collection is going for very cheap rates. Just about all of it could be shipped to your door for about $7, if you have the patience to wait for the delivery and don't mind getting a used CD. |
