Re: problem with digital channels

When you see a channel on a expanded basic line-up that says digital only it means that in order to recieve the channel you need a digital set-top reciever. Thats just the way it is.

Then that's not expanded basic then. Which means that's fraud. At any rate have a guy coming out tomorrow to bring the HD box since the "local" office( 30 miles away ) doesn't allow you to pick them up there.

It IS expanded because that is the tier it is in. You don't need any other tier above that to get it.

You do need equipment to decrypt it though, which can be a cable box or a CableCARD equipped device live a TV or Tivo.

The extra equipment required does NOT mean it is not expanded basic.

Do you think that just because a user may have an older analog tuner TV and can't get broadcast ABCHD (a Basic Tier channel) because their equipment is not capable, that makes it not a BASIC channel?

Just because it is expanded basic doesn't mean it has to be analog. If you would have looked around here or simply asked before hand I'm sure that many would have pointed this out for you. Instead however, your question has been answered repeatedly and yet you're still challenging the responses like you do in so many other threads around here. It seems to me like you're turning your own thread into a rant at this point.
