In my opinion your current four choices are decent areas. Though they aren't that far (especially by Houston standards), Tomball and Porter are slightly more removed from the Houston metro area compared to Spring or Humble.

You could always cheap out and come into the Aldine area where I am. Just last night while doing some basic maintenance on my bike I heard somebody squeeze off five or six rounds off in the distance. Yay for ghetto neighborhoods!

alg that is exactly what I need to know I do not want to have bars on the windows and listen to the sound of gun fire LOL call me picky! Where I am now we have 2 acres and love it, all homes have to be at least 2 acres "estate" lots. We are willing to get a little less land but still want in a good safe area.
