Exactly it is ALL about competition, which is why DOCSIS is just fine for most people right now.

FTTH is pretty much a waste at today's speeds.

Reminds me of the old saying "Build it and they will come."

In this case the "they" are the applications, users, and legitimate uses that FTTH can bring to the table with the increased innovation.

All of you people that sit here and say "but that much speed will do you no good" or "nobody needs anything that fast" or "what could you legally do with that much speed?" are blind morons.

Except that increased innovation can actually be done with less bandwidth, not more.

I would rather have more efficient apps on the internet rather than simply throwing more bandwidth at the problem.
