Re: [ PVP] How to beat a rogue: a warlock's perspective Well I've been having some luck playing destruction specced. I have the improved succubus and am soul linked to her. Her almost instant seduce is very helpful. Plus my shadowfury is another almost instant stun that helps alot. This can be a very frustrating spec for though, since if there is melee on me they can pretty much shut me down from casting. But... if I can get a few casts of it's some pretty serious burst dps. I'll shadowfury- Immolate- Chaos bolt - Conflagrate - shadowburn, and many classes are dead at that point. That is a big IF though... since 1/2 the time in arenas there is a melee on me shutting me down from casting. |

I would say shamans are the other class that is very easily killed by rogues. Last Saturday I duelled three times with a shammi, he was decently well geared, and almost one-shotted him the 3 times. He was at 14k health but i was lucky enough to crit him with Mutilate in each fight. In any case he didn´t seem to be a good PVP player (went too far away from the fire totem).
Warlocks and mages are easy, the one that hits first wins. Garrote, HfB, SnD, Muti (crit=3 combo points), Kidney shot, Muti, Eviscerate, Perfect. Get destealthed=dead rogue.
And yes, pallys are the worst class for us rogues, I remember being crushed one and that fight was really painful to me. I was doing him a perfect when, voila, bubble, he heals himself and beats me to death while I was in CD time, no vanish or kidney shot or trinket...ouch! |

Then shamans in my server just suck, in BG's they are used as training dolls, is like punching baby seals, but legal.
Agreed, playing a paladin is like "hey, I don´t want to put an effort in the game, I have auto heals, damaging auras, I wear plate and, if all of that fails I simply bubble myself and start again", do that players even push a button in raids? |

Haha YEA Humptee! yea i know him, hes a pretty good rogue. I did transfer servers though recently. It seems that the majority of the high-end raiding on shadowmoon is dead now Alliance side so i moved on to Malfurion Pve server. Lemme tell you its weird being next to horde and not ganking but at the same time it allows me to get on and get off in short times.

I wouldn't say rogues beat any caster. I haven't come across many rogues that can take down my mage. You just wait for them to jump you then either a) blink out or b) iceblock if you get gouged or you blink is on cooldown or c) if no other option...trinket. Usually i mop the floor with rogues. |

I freaking hate mages when I'm on my DK. If I can keep them silenced and burst them down I might be able to kill them but if they can cast they're off and running while chaining slow spells on me. I dropped one this morning over in Storm Peaks doing SoH dailys.
Icy Touched him, followed by a Plaguee Strike, Scourge Strike.
At this point he Frost Novas me, but what is funny is he can barely move out my melee range because Desecration is pretty much holding him there. So he finally get's out of melee range and I just Grip him right back in. Done.
I think I ended that fight with 95% health lol. |

I'm not 100% sure, but I think my Ghoul might have stunned him also in the process. That's why it took him so long to get out of my melee range.
I think he figured he'd just Nova and run out. To be honest I was expecting either an Iceblock or a Blink, but he did neither. |

Yea mages aren't to bad to kill b4 we get some resilience. Now i'm at 750 resil and it is tough to kill me. If you do manage to get me low i try to get away and invis and evo. |
