While $1,000 a month is really, really steep. It's not true that a residential would find a use for 1GBPS. Come one, You could watch 3 streams of HD video in three different room, and record 2 HD shows all at the same time! I could think of many more.
Since a 1gb buisness internet connection would run you more then 75k a month i would say no.
