DESCRIPTION Eastbound and westbound at IH-45 GULF. TOTAL CLOSURE. Closed continuously until 5:00 AM, Monday, May 4. Eastbound turn south on IH 45 frontage road, U-turn at NASA Bypass, continue on northbound frontage road to NASA Road 1. Westbound turn north on IH 45 frontage road to Bay Area Blvd., use overpass to IH 45 southbound frontage road, continue to FM 528.

That's one of the reports I read. Nothing in the reports state that I-45 is closed.

Marti, I-45 doesn't go east and west. NASA Road 1 goes east and west. Based on that, I'd have to say NASA Road 1 at I-45 is closed, not I-45, right?

Steve, I have not had a reason to drive in that area since they started working there (back in March??). Therefore, I have no idea what's going on!

That makes two of us! For some reason, none of the traffic cameras south of Bay Area Boulevard are functioning.

»traffic.houstontranstar.org/cons···ort.aspx a bit more detail. Looks like the Gulf fwy should be fine. From all the camera shots it looks like very light traffic in both directions.

if you go to google maps and google something in that area then hit the traffic button it will pop up red circles where there are constructions sites or closures

Someone told me yesterday that the road under I-45 at FM 528 / Nasa Parkway (old nasa road 1) is now open.
