anon posted : In some areas (mine for example) Comcast has implemented a filter to block VPN clients calling it a non-consumer application. They will sell you an upgrade to a teleworker option for something like $10.00 more. A number of my co-workers have been blocked in this way. Many have paid the the extra cost and some have switched ISPs.

anon posted : I have a few questions about vpn and comcast. I have the latest version of cisco vpn (not sure of the number). I have Verizon dsl right now and it works fine. Although I need a faster connection for my other pcs in my house and there is not a faster connection available in my area except comcast. I have been reading on the internet that there has been problems with vpn and comcast. I am spoke to comcast and they said it should work but they don't provide support for vpn problems. I was wondering if anyone else has comcast and uses vpn, if it works and if not how did you resolve it?
I only use this computer maybe 2 times a month for vpn, but when there is a problem I NEED vpn for work.
