hello everyone, i just got cable installed from a small, Mexican ISP here in Cabo San Lucas.
I'm not sure what the source of the problem is.B ut i'm pretty certain it's not the isp..entirely.
i'm getting DL speeds of 86Kb/s
and UL speeds of 300Kb/s
when they claim peak speeds of 2Mb/s DL
the connection is really sluggish and unreliable.
i got these results from tweak tester:
»/tweakr/block:···a=normal
which are difficult to get because it always hangs without sending back results. even speed tests hang most of the time.
i have xp sp3, fresh install, no firewall/antivir. no router but i think the isp uses a proxy.
SB5100 Signals:
14dBmV for Down power
51dBmV for up power
40dB SNR
any help would be appreciated. |
