<title>SB5100 unreliable connection,</title>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1636973"><b>closetgeek</b></A> : hello everyone, i just got cable installed from a small, Mexican ISP here in Cabo San Lucas.<br>I'm not sure what the source of the problem is.B ut i'm pretty certain it's not the isp..entirely.<br><br>i'm getting DL speeds of 86Kb/s<br>and UL speeds of 300Kb/s<br><br>when they claim peak speeds of 2Mb/s DL<br><br>the connection is really sluggish and unreliable.<br><br>i got these results from tweak tester:<br>&raquo;<A HREF="/tweakr/block:4a3d91c?service=cable&speed=2000&os=winXP&via=normal">/tweakr/block:&middot;&middot;&middot;a=normal</A><br>  which are difficult to get because it always hangs without sending back results. even speed tests hang most of the time.<br><br>i have xp sp3, fresh install, no firewall/antivir. no router but i think the isp uses a proxy.<br><br>SB5100 Signals:<br>14dBmV for Down power<br>51dBmV for up power<br>40dB SNR<br><br>any help would be appreciated.]]></description>
