It shouldn't surprise you at all, it all makes sense when you realize that Obama isn't as smart or clever as you all thought he was (which accounts for the teleprompters, his meandering speech when off message, the audience plants and the fact that the Democratic party really didn't want him to run)and that he is nothing but a pretty shell that does what the core of the party tells him to.
