I have some issues with my home DSL, too.
I am 50 m to the remote (0db att) and couldnt sync at full 5M profile speed.
IKNS remote stuff. |

It was my own modem (a Dlink) but I changed the MTU settings on my router (DLINK DIR-655)and not the modem. I think the router modifies the modem settings when it reboots. |

Not a problem. Was the MTU value set to 1500 on one of our modems or are you using your own? |

MTU was set at default 1500 - changed it to 1492 and got the windows update to work. Thanks. |

It seems like a MTU setting problem. Can you please post your MTU settings. |

I brought my laptop to work (we use TerraGo Networks) and I instantly loaded the windows update page. There may be a problem with the DNS server. At home I bypassed my router and connected directly to the modem but nothing changed. |

It can be cause by explorer 8 (just a wild guess here but we nerver know) i did install it on my computer but can't use it , it just close after i try to use it. For the weather channel did you try another browser like firefox or chrome ? |

I was able to access the microsoft.com and weathernetwork sites using freeproxyserver.ca what's going on. |

Ok, I brought home a laptop from work and noticed that I can't get xxx.theweathernetwork.com on either computer. No way the work laptop has conficker virus. |

As somebody said, this could be the famous 1-April virus, which disables your access to some places like MS update and official anti virus websites. |

check your computer... when you get a problem like this, there is a good chance that you computer is infected with some sort of virus or spyware... |

@acanac.net | Not sure how to report this so I'm wondering if anyone else is having problems with windows update. IE keeps showing Page Not Found everytime I try to access MS windows update or microsoft.com. I tried it with kproxy and I can connect. |
