Re: Can you say Anti-Competitive

no the topic is AT&T blocked an app that could have even been used on an iPod touch and they are planning to release an app with similer functionality and don't want competition
Which has nothing to do with Uverse.

True, but this is the iPhone/AT&T wireless thread.

Correct, but we need to see that it is being developed vs rumored.
If they do come out and say "yeah, we are working on one" then I would agree 110%.

I think this is about time where we make the realization that iPhone users have been getting the shaft since day 1. Even if the users still have the slingbox application on their iPhones, all Jobs has to do is hit a button and poof the application gets deleted. Same thing with the G1.

On the other hand, my Windows Mobile device is still safe from any greedy corporation (for the most part and for now). My WM phone does not have a kill switch, and plus I can customize it to the fullest extent (through the ability to view the whole FS/registry). Admit it, Windows is actually better on a phone. Fellow WM users, would you like a side of a slingbox client with your phones? Whats that? None exist? Then just make one in VB.Net, C++, or C#, royalty free of course .

You're understanding of the Android platform is... silly.

Google can remove an application from the application store, but that doesn't stop anyone from downloading it to an SD card and installing it. No hacking or modifying necessary. Google, T-Mobile, or other carriers can not stop you from installing applications on the Android platform. They just take away the easy to download application store link.
