1536 Downstream (ATU-C = 1536,000) and 384 Upstream (ATU-R = 384,000) are the correct values for the Windstream 1.5 Mbps DSL Service.
The Downstream Attenuation of 52.5 dB is indicating a long line that may need to be worked on and at the minimum it needs to be tested out at the NID using a direct connection to the Modem.
The Downstream negative (-) 7.5 dB SNR is bad as that indicates the Modem is seeing a negative (-) number value in a field where the numbers are supposed to be all in the positive (+) ranges only. Again the testing out at the NID may show some improvements.

| reply to cw0909 Noise on the Telephone line and/or cheap Corded and Cordless Phones will sometimes cause noise that will degrade the DSL signal (that will kill the DSL if it is present). If you are hearing noise when talking on the phone or see speeds slow way down when using a phone then that may be the problem. Your line has to be noise free to support stable DSL. No pops, no static, no clicking, no AM Radio Stations bleeding in on the line, no hums, or any other similar noises should be heard when you pick up the phone then press 1 to dismiss the dial-tone so you can listen.
