YAWN!!!

Good lord...all this fuss over a choice of comparisons? Who cares whether a Ford, Yugo, Ferrari or a freakin' Big Wheel is used to make a point? The gist of this is whether copper is "good enough" for the time being, or that fiber should be pushed...enough whining about what cars were used for the analogy...was this so confusing that folks simply could not understand the intent of the comment?

Whew...rant over...but really now!

As a "pedestrian" user of the net, who does not download/upload large amounts of content, my current DSL 6Mbps connection is almost overkill as it is...however, I do recognize that the "state of the art" of broadband and it's usage is a rapidly evolving entity, and historically, those who hold back on the technological (speed) increases fall into irrelevancy and insolvency...as in AOL's too late shift from dial up.
