| Problem connecting to 4600 after putting it in bridge mode
I can not get into my Speedstream 4200 after I put it in bridge mode. I have a wrt160n wireless Linksys modem hooked up to it. I cant even ping it any more. I change my IP to 192.168.253.253 but it still will not ping. I want to check my stats as I have been having a lot of trouble with it lately. Can any one tell me how to connect to it now? Also I dont have a NID only a box with a 4 screw connector would a NID help with the connection? -- Alltel 3 mg |

| You will have to plug the 4200 directly to the computer to are trying trying to view it from or move it to a Lan port for a sec. And change your IP to 192.168.254.253 broadcast 255.255.255.0 gateway can be empty. -- AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE @ 3.5Ghz(OC) | 4Gb Memory @ 1600mhz | Sapphire ATI HD4870 1GB 800mhz/1000mhz(OC) | 2x500GB HDD's Raid 0 | Windows Vista Ultimate x64 |

| reply to irish65 What kind of connection problems are you experiencing?
Performing a reset on your 4200 should bring it back to router mode. To do this, press and hold the reset button until the power button flashes red/green a couple times then release. After the modem restarts, you should be able to access the interface to enter your username and password. -- We're here to help! wci.broadbandhelp@windstream.com |
